We played for a couple of hours, and then headed for home with Clover's best friend Autumne and little sis Tara. They are such sweet girls, and we have had a really good time with them. We had pizza and salad for dinner with roasted marshmallows for dessert. They enjoyed some time running around outside.
We were still playing outside when a beautiful thunderstorm rolled in, and we got to watch the whole thing. It was lovely. On one side of our yard, the sky was almost completely clear and we could see the almost-full moon. On the other side, the clouds went from white to pink to dark gray in a matter of minutes. The air crackled with electricity, and the sweet perfume of irises filled the whole yard. It was amazing.
After lots of whispering and giggling, I think that the girls have finally fallen asleep. Goodnight!!
