Co-op was so sweet this week. We are making ornaments for our craft every week until Solstice. Apple came up with the wonderful idea of sewing herbal sachets to represent "plant" week in the Advent cycle. This craft is so easy! Just cut a circle of flannel, sew a running stitch around the outside, cinch partially, stuff with herbs, and tie the top closed after fully cinching.
The kids really enjoyed working on these and they turned out so sweetly! They smell wonderful, and I can't wait to see how beautiful they will look on our tree!
Instead of a nature hike, the kids picked up trash from around the lake. We were meeting at a different place, and it made me very thankful for our usual spot (which is basically litter free). We fed the geese peanuts and played for a couple of hours before heading for home.
Carrie took that last picture of our main little clean-up crew!
