Summer Solstice/Father's Day

We packed lots of fun and celebrating into the weekend. A delicious potluck, fun with a pinata, canoe rides and swimming in the lake, and lots of berry picking. I love that Father's Day coincides with Summer Solstice. I have lots of good Father blessings that I like to read at this time of year.

Summer Solstice fruit salad: sweet golden orange fruit with a handful or two of blackberries in the middle to remind us that even in the longest day, there is still night. The longest day of Light leaves us spiraling back into Darkness. From now until Fall Equinox, the days will grow shorter and shorter. The only thing to do is embrace this.~
